Our community has lost many important landmarks. Many disappear over the years without much warning. At one point the Historic Geneva School was targeted for demolition until citizens of Geneva came to its rescue. Now the Seminole County School Board has graciously offered to transfer the title of the property to our community to create a Rural Heritage Center. In partnership with the many organizations, we have a home and future to share our unique and precious rural lifestyle.

It is fitting that the citizens of Geneva, Seminole County and all of Central Florida have an opportunity to not only preserve an important landmark, but also to start a lasting tradition of a Rural Heritage Center at the Old Geneva School Building, built in 1924.
